My name is Ella, and I am 53, from the Philippines. I was born into a Catholic family. Even though I believed in the Lord since my childhood, I barely knew about the Lord and had little faith in Him, and I was even pursuing to be rich like the unbelievers. In April 1987, I met Villan, a Filipino Christian, when I was a domestic helper abroad. She worked not far away from my work place. At that time she was a leader of a Christian church. She preached to me the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and invited me to attend her church. She also read me Romans 10:9-10 of the Bible, “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation,” telling me that I could go to heaven if I believed in the Lord Jesus. Hearing this I was shocked because I was afraid of going to hell. So I accepted the Lord Jesus and started regularly living the life of church in this Christian church. People are dying in droves all around the world and many more are in a constant state of panic, sensing that the great disasters are upon us. No one knows how long this pandemic will last or how many lives it will claim. Those who believe in God, however, know in their hearts that all things happen with God’s permission, and that absolutely nothing can happen without it. Now disasters all over the world continue, and the prophecies of the Lord’s coming have basically been fulfilled. Many brothers and sisters who sincerely believe in the Lord hope that they can welcome the Lord’s return as soon as possible like wise virgins. To welcome the Lord, you must first understand the difference between wise virgins and foolish virgins, so as to avoid becoming foolish virgins and missing the opportunity to welcome the Lord.

The Lord Jesus said, “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 25:6 says, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.” The Lord Jesus’ words tell us clearly that, when He returns in the last days, people will testify to us that “the bridegroom comes,” meaning they are testifying that the Lord has returned. So what practices should we adopt to accord with the Lord’s will and that will enable us to greet the Lord? The Lord Jesus did in fact tell us of two paths of practice for investigating the true way long ago.

In 2005, I believed in the Lord Jesus with my husband. We read the Bible, attended meetings and prayed together. Whatever happened to us, we would consult the Lord’s words to solve it and practice according to His teachings. We enjoyed the joy of being with the Lord every day. Besides, our hearts were peaceful and secure, and we lived very happily.
