How to Confirm Jesus’ Appearance? Not by His Revelation but …

By Ningchen

One day, Bill who was studying abroad came back home and said to Bob with delight: “Dad, this time I’ve got some amazing news for you. The Lord Jesus for whom we’ve long yearned has returned incarnate in China and has expressed many truths. Lately, I’ve read many of God’s words, and I feel that every one of God’s words contains authority and power. They have deeply convinced me …”

The Parable of the Wise Virgins

The Lord Jesus said, “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. What Kind of People Does God Commend?

By He Ling

The Lord Jesus said, “Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-23). From these words of the Lord Jesus, we know that only those who do the will of the Father in heaven shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. We also see that many people have prophesied and cast out devils in the Lord’s name, and have had such great faith in the Lord that they have spent for Him, suffered hardships for His sake, and spread His name by bearing testimony for Him, but in the end the Lord will condemn them, and say to them, “depart from me, you that work iniquity!” Why is this so? Then, what kind of people are the ones who do the will of the Father in heaven?

How Should Christians Handle Biblical Prophecies in Order to Welcome the Lord’s Return?

How Should Christians Handle Biblical Prophecies in Order to Welcome the Lord’s Return?

By Qianhe

Prophecies are about things that haven’t happened yet, that God has already told us about. Some of them are signs that He gave to prophets so that they would write about them, such as in the books of Isaiah and Daniel. Some of them were told to people directly by God in the flesh, like the Lord Jesus’ prophecies about the last days. How a prophecy is actually fulfilled isn’t something that we as humans can fathom. What I want to express here is that we all know that prophecies aren’t things that people can full understand, but many people still try to rely on their own thinking and imaginations in looking at biblical prophecies. They give sermons without any restraint based on the literal meanings of prophecies. This is a really serious issue. Not only can this bring harm to others, but it can also mislead them so that they may miss out on God’s salvation or even be resistant to God.

God Is Called Jehovah and Also Jesus – Why Are God’s Names Different?

By Xiaowei, France

God Is Called Jehovah and Also Jesus - Why Are God’s Names Different?

In the golden autumn, blown by the wind, the yellow withered leaves were falling down from the trees slowly, and the ground was covered with a thin layer of them. In a residential building, Zhang Yongxin was sitting at the desk. As he looked through the Bible, he furrowed his brow and whispered, “In the Old Testament, God’s name was Jehovah, but in the New Testament, God’s name was Jesus. Why are they different?” He spent a good deal of time pondering over it. Just at that moment, there was a knock at the door.

It was his old co-worker, Yang Mingzhi whom he hadn’t seen for many years. They sat on the sofa, talking happily. And unknowingly an hour passed quietly. Suddenly, Zhang Yongxin remembered the question of God’s name, so he said to Yang Mingzhi, “Mingzhi, I just don’t understand a question. Shall we explore it together?”

Why Was God’s Name Jehovah, But Became Jesus Later?

By Mu Guang

Why Was God’s Name Jehovah, But Became Jesus Later?

Since I believed in God, I have been confused about God’s name. The Old Testament records, “Jehovah … is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations” (Exo 3:15). That’s to say, only Jehovah is God’s name for ever. But the New Testament says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Act 4:12). This also shows that only Jesus is God’s name, and that there is no other name except Jesus. But why do these words say that God is called Jehovah and also Jesus? Isn’t this a contradiction? I was wrapped in clouds of doubts and always felt very puzzled about these. Although I have consulted many spiritual books and asked some brothers and sisters in the Lord, I still didn’t get a satisfying answer.

Welcoming the Coming of the Lord: 3 Essential Key Points

All manner of disasters have occurred in recent years, the four blood moons have long since appeared, and the prophecies concerning the Lord’s return have now basically been fulfilled. How then are we to greet the Lord? The Lord Jesus says, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6). “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). In Revelation, it is prophesied many times, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2, 3). Can Man Enter the Kingdom of God by Working Hard for the Lord?

Can Man Enter the Kingdom of God by Working Hard for the Lord?

I believe that all true believers in the Lord expect the Lord Jesus to come to take them into heaven soon. Some firmly believe that they will surely be taken into the kingdom of heaven by the Lord when He returns, if they work hard for Him, shepherd the church believers, and even give up their family and marriage, dedicating their all to Him.

Why the Same God Has Different Names?

Why the Same God Has Different Names?

When I studied at a junior middle school, my parents believed in the Lord and often told me some stories about the Lord Jesus. At that time, I thought God’s name was Jesus. Afterward, when flipping through The Old and New Testament which was my father’s greatest treasure, I noticed that “Jehovah” was mentioned in many verses in the Old Testament. Curious, I asked my father, “Who is Jehovah?” Then he told me, “Jehovah is the heavenly Father. He is an omnipotent and omniscient God.” Continue reading “Why the Same God Has Different Names?”

What Are the Names of God and the Meaning of Them?

By Zheng Youming

What Are the Names of God and the Meaning of Them?

There are many verses in the Bible about God’s names. The names God takes all hold significance. Let’s see God’s names in the Old Testament:

Jehovah: Exodus 3:15 states, “And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

Jealous: Exodus 34:14 states, “For you shall worship no other god: for Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
