Rapture Doesn’t Mean to Being Caught Up Into the Air, But …

In a hot afternoon, cicadas were shrilling unceasingly among the trees. Scorched by the heat, the trees and flowers at the roadside held their heads down listlessly.

In a residential block, Wang Na forced herself to stay awake and continued, “The Bible says, ‘Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord’ (1 Thessalonians 4:17). From the state of the brothers and sisters in the church and the world situation we can see that the last days have come. What Should We Do Now to Be Raptured at the Lord’s Return?

Question: After the fellowship, I know that our understanding of rapture by the Lord is from man’s imagination. It’s seriously against the word of the Lord. So what should we do now to be raptured at His return? Would you commune with us in detail?

What Should We Do Now to Be Raptured at the Lord's Return?

Answer: The saints expect to be raptured according to the Lord’s words, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3). Man uses their imaginations and notions to understand the Lord’s words. They think since the Lord Jesus ascended upon a white cloud, the place He prepares for them must surely be up there as well. So they wait for the Lord Jesus to return and bring them up to heaven. Besides, man tends to value Paul’s words, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Having Known the Meaning of the Names of God, I Welcomed the Lord Jesus’ Return

By Jingwei, Japan

In the Age of Law, God took the name Yahweh; in the Age of Grace, He took the name Jesus, and the Book of Revelation prophesied that God would have yet another new name. Why does God change names? I nearly shut the door on the Lord Jesus’ return because I didn’t understand this aspect of the truth. But in the end, after a period of seeking and investigating, I finally understood the mysteries behind God’s name and welcomed the return of the Lord Jesus.

The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)

The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)

You should know of the story behind the Bible and of its making. This knowledge does not belong to those who have not accepted the new work of God. They do not know. If you were to speak plainly of these matters of essence to them, they would no longer be sticklers about the Bible with you. They are constantly digging into what has been prophesied: Has this statement come to pass? Has that statement come to pass? Their acceptance of the gospel is in accordance with the Bible, and they preach the gospel according to the Bible. Their belief in God rests on the words of the Bible; without the Bible, they will not believe in God. This is the manner in which they live, subjecting the Bible to petty scrutiny. When they once again come digging into the Bible and ask you for explanations, you say, “First, let us not verify each statement. Continue reading “The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)”

What Is the Work of Managing Mankind?

What Is the Work of Managing Mankind?

Relevant Words of God:

The work of managing mankind is divided into three stages, which means that the work of saving mankind is divided into three stages. These three stages do not include the work of creating the world, but are rather the three stages of the work of the Age of Law, the Age of Grace, and the Age of Kingdom. The work of creating the world was the work of producing the whole of mankind. It was not the work of saving mankind, and bears no relation to the work of saving mankind, for when the world was created, mankind had not been corrupted by Satan, and so there was no need to carry out the work of mankind’s salvation. How Can Those Living in Sin Enter the Kingdom of God?

By Wen Ying, Japan

Clouds drifted in the blue sky, while some birds were alighting in a tree near the meeting place, chirping like playing a vivid song. In the meeting place of a house church, preacher Li Xun invited her classmate Yang Min (a co-worker works in another area) to attend the co-worker meeting, and they were talking about the topic of “being saved” and “entering into the kingdom of heaven”…

Li Xun said seriously, “My fellow co-workers, the Bible says, ‘That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Continue reading “How Can Those Living in Sin Enter the Kingdom of God?”

Q&A about Being Saved and Full Salvation (9)

Q&A about Being Saved and Full Salvation (9)

If we accept Almighty God, will we enter the kingdom of heaven?

Answer: To answer this, Almighty God’s words make it clear. Let’s first look at what Almighty God says about it.

The return of Jesus is a great salvation for those who are capable of accepting the truth, but for those who are unable to accept the truth it is a sign of condemnation. Are the Words “Being Raptured in the Clouds to Meet the Lord in the Air” Right?

Are the Words “Being Raptured in the Clouds to Meet the Lord in the Air” Right?

Question: The Bible says, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1Ts 4:17). How should we interpret that?

Answer: We should hope for the Lord’s return based on the prophecies that He Himself spoke. That is the most standard way of waiting for the Lord’s return. Who are you quoting, really? Are you quoting the Lord’s words or the words of men? “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air,” who said that? Are those the Lord Jesus’ words? The Lord Jesus never said anything like that. Continue reading “Are the Words “Being Raptured in the Clouds to Meet the Lord in the Air” Right?”

A Letter to Sister Jiayin: I Understand What Rapture Is

A Letter to Sister Jiayin: I Understand What Rapture Is

Dear Jiayin,

Peace to you in the Lord! Several months have flown by. How are you recently? I remember when we studied the Bible together, we often read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, which says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Continue reading “A Letter to Sister Jiayin: I Understand What Rapture Is”

How Must You Believe in God in Order to Be Saved and Made Perfect?

How Must You Believe in God in Order to Be Saved and Made Perfect?

Relevant Words of God:

Though many people believe in God, few understand what faith in God means, and what they must do to be after God’s heart. This is because, though people are familiar with the word “God” and phrases such as “the work of God,” they do not know God, much less do they know His work. No wonder, then, that all those who do not know God are possessed of a muddled belief. People do not take belief in God seriously because believing in God is too unfamiliar, too strange for them. In this way, they fall short of the demands of God. Continue reading “How Must You Believe in God in Order to Be Saved and Made Perfect?”
