Many people have found such phenomena: Most of the true believers in the Lord, after believing in God, will spread the gospel, do their work and establish churches everywhere with the utmost confidence; there are even some who never get married in their entire lives so as to spread the gospel; some believers who have families even give up their enjoyments of family, conjugal affection and the attention of their children for spreading of the gospel…. Some people think these behaviors incomprehensible and don’t know why they believe in God so fervently.

Seeing that the world is beset by disasters, many believers think that these disasters may only punish those evildoers and unbelievers while believers in the Lord have the care and protection of the Lord and thus can survive various disasters. However, when they see that some believers lost their lives in the plague, they are confused: How could they not be protected by the Lord? In fact, believing in the Lord does not mean that we are the ones who are praised by the Lord.

In 1994, I was born in the United States. My parents are both Chinese. My mother was the classic example of a successful career woman. She is able to think for herself and is very competent. I love my mother very much. When I was in Grade 2, my parents brought me back to China to study so that I would be able to learn Chinese. It was also at that time that I started to get acquainted with the Lord Jesus. I remember one day in 2004, after I got home from school, there was a guest at our house. My mother introduced her and told me that she was a pastor from the United States.
